Most modern businesses stop entirely when the internet goes down. The WatchGuard Firebox T45-CW pairs network security with built-in 5G cellular, so a broadband fault becomes an inconvenience rather than a closed shop.
How it works
Primary fibre, cellular backup.
XTM configures your fixed fibre or broadband service as the primary connection. The T45-CW monitors that link, and when it fails the Firebox switches traffic across to the built-in 5G cellular connection automatically. When the fixed line is stable again, it moves back.
Failover is not instant and we will not promise zero downtime. Sessions can drop during the switch and cellular throughput will differ from your fibre service. The goal is short, recoverable interruptions instead of hours of standstill.
Same security policies applied on either connection. EFTPOS, tills, Wi-Fi, staff devices and cloud apps keep working through the switch.

Cellular failover depends on mobile network conditions at your premises. We check these with you rather than assuming.
- A compatible mobile service from a New Zealand carrier
- An activated SIM with an appropriate data plan
- Suitable cellular coverage at the site, including inside the building
- Realistic expectations on speed: cellular backup keeps you trading, it does not replace fibre
- Agreed failover behaviour, so you know what happens to sessions during a switch
